About the Egypt e-Visa
The e-Visa is a document issued electronically by the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt that allows its holder to enter and travel within Egypt. It replaces the visa obtained at an embassy or on arrival for eligible travellers.
Instead of standing in queues at the airport or visiting a consulate, you complete one secure online application, pay the visa fee by card and receive your e-Visa by e-mail.
Who can apply?
Citizens of eligible countries who are travelling to Egypt for tourism or business. When you start your application, select your nationality to see the visa types available to you.
When should I apply?
Apply at least 7 days before your planned arrival. Most applications are processed within 5–7 working days.
Requirements
- Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival
- A clear colour scan of the passport bio-data page
- A recent personal photo with a white background
- A valid e-mail address
- A Visa or Mastercard credit / debit card
